Andrew Cashner is learning on the fly when it comes to starting major league games. This was another positive step. Cashner pitched 7 1-3 innings of four-hit ball and the San Diego Padres beat the Miami Marlins 5-0 on Monday night.

Nick Green hit a game-winning sacrifice fly and Miami rallied for two runs in the 15th inning Monday night to beat the Mets 4-3, handing New York its fifth consecutive loss.

Marlins Fall Short Against Phillies

Roy Halladay earned his 200th career victory Sunday, bouncing back from consecutive poor outings to pitch eight innings and help the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Miami Marlins 2-1.
Laynce Nix broke a 1-all tie with his second pinch-hit homer of the season in the ninth inning.

Marlins Face Long Road To Recapture The Fans

Last year at this time, the Miami Marlins were the toast of Major League Baseball and South Florida was abuzz with hope the franchise had finally turned the proverbial corner into a true contender. Just a year later, despite one of the best stadiums in baseball, the Marlins are operating about as far under the radar as any team in Major League Baseball.
