The latest jobs numbers gives hope to workers, employers, and the government that the Great Recession and jobs crisis may be slowly starting to retreat permanently.
The U.S. economy only added 96,000 jobs in August, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, but those numbers were less than the more than 100,000 economists were expecting.
While local, state and the federal government continue to enact austerity on their workers; the latest new from Gallup showed job creation is at its highest level since before President Barack Obama took office.
