Lots of drivers on the Dolphin Expressway had a big surprise waiting for them when they headed off to work or school Tuesday morning after the Presidents’ Day weekend.
Major traffic lane changes are taking place along SR 836 through the weekend. In order to make the changes, some ramps were closed.
Believe it or not, more changes and more confusion will be on the Dolphin Expressway starting this weekend.

It’s another week of closures on the Don Shula Expressway. All northbound and southbound lanes will be closed from Kendall Drive to the Palmetto Expressway every night from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. until Saturday morning.
Watch out on the Dolphin Expressway Tuesday night. The State Road 836 westbound ramp to State Road 826/Palmetto Expressway southbound will be closed from 11 p.m. though 5 a.m. Wednesday morning.
