After a labor related splintered season, the NBA Finals is quite the perfect storm. In a battle of epic meteorological proportions, the Thunder takes on the Heat. But more importantly, this is the matchup that seems to be the one most of the basketball universe wants to see.

The headlines leading into the NBA Finals have been about the matchup of the two best players in the game, Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant and Miami’s LeBron James.

Vegas Picking Thunder In NBA Finals

The Miami Heat will be pilgrims in an unholy land when they enter the arena in Oklahoma City Tuesday night and will also find themselves in the unusual position of being the underdogs in the NBA Finals.

James Harden Wins 2012 NBA Sixth Man Of The Year Award

When James Harden, the 2012 NBA Sixth Man of the Year was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder with the third overall pick at the 2009 NBA Draft, he could be considered almost clean shaven in comparison to how he appears now, rocking his celebrated buccaneer beard.

Heat Win Thriller Against Thunder, 98-93

LeBron James had 34 points and 10 assists, Dwyane Wade scored 19 points and the Miami Heat avenged a loss at Oklahoma City last week, rallying to beat the Thunder 98-93 on Wednesday night for their 17th straight home victory.

Thunder Too Much For Turnover-Prone Heat

With his All-Star point guard on the bench with three early fouls, two-time NBA scoring champion Kevin Durant took it upon himself to keep the Oklahoma City Thunder rolling right through the Miami Heat, 103-87.
