Believe it or not, more changes and more confusion will be on the Dolphin Expressway starting this weekend.
There’s more traffic trouble for commuters who take the Dolphin Expressway this week.
There are some major changes going on this weekend for those who use the Palmetto(SR 826) and Dolphin(SR 836) Expressways.
A drive down the Dolphin Expressway during Thursday’s evening rush hour turned into an unforgettable experience for one local woman.
This week State Road 836 is in the mix. The Dolphin Expressway westbound ramp to the Palmetto Expressway northbound will be closed Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
Drivers in Miami can expect to see a little extra traffic on the cusp of rush hour Friday evening.
A few changes will take place Sunday to SR 836. All eastbound SR 836 traffic will be shifted onto a new roadway east of NW 72nd Avenue and traffic will then be guided back to the existing lanes west of NW 57th Avenue.
Construction cones and crews will be all over I-95 this week. That’s because up to three northbound lanes will be closed nightly from the Golden Glades interchange in Miami-Dade to Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County.
Drivers on State Road 836/Dolphin Expressway will no longer be able to pay the toll in cash. On Sunday, the toll plaza went all electronic.
Come Sunday night, cash will no longer be accepted at the Dolphin Expressway toll booth.
