Officials%20from%20the%20National%20Weather%20Service%20were%20investigating%20the%20storm%20trail%20to%20determine%20whether%20it%20was%20actually%20a%20tornado%20that%20ripped%20through%20the%20area%20late%20Tuesday%20night.%20%28Source%3A%20CBS4%29

Plantation%20Fire%20Battalion%20Chief%20Joel%20Gordon%20says%20the%20damage%20was%20severe%20in%20some%20places%20especially%20in%20the%20area%20of%20NW%20133rd%20Avenue%20and%208th%20Street%20in%20Sunrise%20where%20five%20to%20six%20homes%20have%20been%20declared%20a%20total%20loss.%20%28Source%3A%20CBS4%29

A%20majority%20of%20the%20roof%20of%20this%20home%20was%20damaged%20from%20the%20storm.%20%28Source%3A%20%20CBS4%29

The%20American%20Red%20Cross%20is%20on%20the%20scene%20in%20both%20Plantation%20and%20Sunrise%20helping%20storm%20victims.%20%28Source%3A%20CBS4%29

In%20addition%20to%20the%20property%20damage%2C%20many%20streets%20are%20littered%20with%20debris%2C%20trees%20are%20down%2C%20and%20power%20is%20out%20in%20some%20areas.%20%28Source%3A%20CBS4%29
