I once flew a kite in Saint Thomas Virgin Island 9,000 feet from my syanding point which is close to two miles took 1 hour and 58 minutes to retrieve it, all went well
I don’t think I can fly a kit but I think I can fly a kite, in fact I am good at it , got some trophys for flying competion. I would like to see you fly a airbrush kit.
A good friend of mine and myself back in 1979 built a home-made kite it was 12′ by14′ and weighed about 90lbs, we had a tail made of heavy cotton socks that measured 30′ long after about 2 hours with 200lbs test line we got it up to about 120′ AND FLEW IT FOR 10 MINUTES THEN IT CRASHED we got pictures of it somewhere. We did not expect an audience but channel 7 showed up in North Laudrdale just south of Kimberley Blvd. on 441.
