I have discovered there are many cranky crazy people in Florida. I think they should be reported to the mental health society personally so they can get some help.
I agree, I am from Michigan and lived in South Florida more than half my life so about 17 years. Just today I was in the burger king drive thru and some crazy impatient lady cut in front of me and 3 people behind me in the drive-thru line. I knocked on her window and asked why and she went belligerent, then her boyfriend came out of know where in a pick-up truck claiming he was a police officer and then proceeded to scold me that I shouldn’t have knocked on her window and said anything…..THESE PEOPLE ARE PURE CRAZY GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!!!
This just makes me want to laugh. You blame Floridians for everything from 3rd world countries bringing over their slums, to hit and runs, domestic violence, homicides, drugs, guns, and road rage. Last time I checked Florida is not the only state with these problems. You say people down here only care about themselves, well that may be true. Until we know who you are and what crazy ideas you are bringing from some other crazy state, we are just going to take care of ourselves. If you don’t like the way we’re living just leave this long haired country boy alone and if you think we’re crazy, then please go home. But you Northerners can keep coming down here to Orlando (which isn’t even a part of the real Florida) and spend all your vacation money here to keep us working and having no state tax, then go right back to where you came from. We wouldn’t want you to live here either. From a real Cracker! and damn proud of it!!

My theory is that Florida, like California, has been the destination for people who just couldn’t get along with their neighbors wherever they came from, were made to feel unwelcome, justifiably so, and pulled up stakes and headed for the supposedly easy life in the sunny climes. They cannot grasp certain concepts common to most folks in the rest of the country, concepts such as “neighbor”, “hospitality”, “restraint”, “modesty” and others. This is not to impugn the good character of millions of other Floridians, such as the old time crackers, who are extensions of the south Georgia country people, salt of te earth in my book, or the Space Coast engineers and technicians, Cuban refugees and other immigrants in South Florida, and many good retired people and others just like anybody else. But you know who I mean if you have ever run into them.
Drugs, guns, traffic rage, impatient, many different cultures that are not understood by many which causes prejudices. I agree! People in Florida ARE downright crazy.
It might seem like that, but other states just don’t share all of their news like Florida does!

I agree with you completely, rascalflatsgirl. The people down here in florida are very rude and just down right unfriendly.

People only care about themselves. Help thy neighbor does not exist like it did in 1950. People that go to church and give sermons do not help anyone.
