For 22 years, the Tournament of Champions, Inc. (TOC) has brought you some of the top athletes in South Florida in the annual postseason football all-star game.

On Friday, December 16th, the 23rd annual event will take place at Miami Southridge High as the Annual Miami-Dade North vs South All-Star Football Game will be held at 8 p.m.

With the tailgating activities starting at 2:30 that afternoon, this event will once again bring the fans of Miami-Dade County for a showcase of the best of the best.

"We remain committed to providing the necessary tools that our athletes can use to help them on their journey through athletics and academics," said TOC Founder, Wesley Frater. "Preparing them for life beyond sports is a crucial aspect of our program. We appreciate the support we have received to help continue foster this platform."

The game will include some of Miami Dade's most elite players, competing for bragging rights and scholarships. South Florida has more players competing in the National Football League than any other region of the country.

"Ninety-five percent of all NFL players born in South Florida have competed in TOC's All-Star Football game, camp or the combine we host each year," Frater explained. "This is a real unique situation here in Miami-Dade – with so much talent and athletes who want to compete."

Among the top football players taking part for the North squad includes Malcolm Vigile, (Edison), Kai Henry (Northwestern), Kevaughn Dingle (Carol City), Randall St. Felix (Dr. Krop), Carmoni Green (Central), Al Malik Moore (Northwestern), Sharod Johnson (Booker T. The South squad is also loaded with talent such as Angel Alvarez (Doral Academy), Bentavious Thompson (Southridge), Javier Zuniga (Doral Academy), Kemore Gamble (Southridge), Rodney Scott (Southridge), Cody Bowes (Southridge), Keanu Sullivan (Southwest Miami), Kyron Taylor (South Dade), Chei Hill (South Dade), Deandre Johnson (Southridge), Dimitri Prophete (Southridge), Michael Rodriguez (Christopher Columbus), Kenneth Spiller (Palmetto), Nadarius Fagan (Southridge), Billy Gibson (Southridge), Brandon James (Southridge), Mike Martinez (Southwest Miami), Kristopher Moll (Coral Gables), Trajan Bandy (Christopher Columbus) as well as some of the top defensive secondary performers you will find anywhere.

TOC IS MORE THAN FOOTBALL
Tournament of Champions continues their legacy of producing a myriad of sporting events inclusive of the premier football and basketball events for high school athletes in South Florida.

Among the signature events set for All-Star week include the Annual TOC Academic & Human Development Symposium, which was held this past Sunday. The symposium is designed to educate and prepare high school student athletes for a smooth and successful graduation transition and subsequent collegiate matriculation.

"The symposium provides first-hand knowledge of what to expect as a collegiate athlete," Frater said. "It helps them learn how to balance these pressures and demands. The facilitators use presentations, role-playing, skits and interactive workshops, as well as group breakout sessions."

Admission is $12.00.
