Man Wanted In Coral Gables Attempted Armed Robbery

CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) -- Police are looking for a man they say tried to rob a Coral Gables restaurant at gunpoint.
Surveillance cameras were able to capture an image of the man police are looking for.
Investigators said the armed man walked into a Domino's Pizza store located at 1400 Ponce De Leon Boulevard on December 8th. He reportedly had a chrome revolver in hand.
"I ran to the parking lot and I was already calling police when the robber ran outside," said Domino's delivery driver Edgar Franco, who was inside working when the man stormed in.
Police say when the employees ran out of the restaurant, the man panicked and left without any cash.
"His car was right next to mine. He said something and I didn't understand him and I told him, 'I called the police.'"
"Our concern is that this person also has been targeting other cities in the area and other local stores that are staying open late," said Coral Gables Police Dept. Sgt. Tomas Salcedo.
Coral Gables detectives say they believe this may be the same armed robber who struck two fast food restaurants and a convenience store in the Pinecrest area since Thanksgiving Day.
Surveillance video taken at a Burger King off South Dixie Highway and 132nd St. shows an armed robber pointing his silver handgun at employees this past Sunday.
"The next I know a man was coming in with a gun. He orders that one employee to give him the money and not to run. The next thing you know he was in the office. He was with a gun demanding I open the safe and give him all the money. He demanded we all go in back. I followed protocol. I took everyone in to the freezer. After that I called 911," said Oya, who was on duty as manager at the Border King.
Police say the gunman made off with nearly 800 dollars.
According to authorities this same suspect may have struck two other businesses on South Dixie Highway: a Farm Stores on 120th St. on Thanksgiving Day and a Dairy Queen at 85th St. November 7th.
Until this guy is caught, Franco says he'll be looking over his shoulder.
"I'm nervous because you never know if he could be in the parking lot waiting," said Franco.
Police say the man is between a 20 to 25 years of age, 5'6"- 5'10" and 160-190 lbs.
He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, dark gray shirt, and dark blue pants. He masked the lower part of his face and had a thin goatee.
He got away in a dark blue Toyota Scion TC with a partial Tag 'K83.'
