MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Flo Rida is now spreading some holiday cheer with local children. The rapper took a group of kids to Santa's Enchanted Forest.

"I'm all about the holiday spirit," he said. "I'm all about showing love."

Especially at a place he remembers fondly as a kid.

"Just inspiring the kids to do something positive," he said. "I came here as a kid and I just felt like giving back in this way."

It was not lost on the kids that he could have chosen to spend his time elsewhere.

"Most of the famous people are selfish, but he brought his heart into this and I enjoyed it," said Chance Robertson.

The rapper spent a couple of hours taking pictures with anyone who asked, answering questions and just having a good time with the kids and their families.

"I was inspired by the late, great Reggie White. I remember it was a church organization that brought NBA players, NFL players out," Flo Rida explained. "And just to hear someone who's made it to the next level speak to me as a youth as a kid definitely inspired me."

Junk food, and amusement park, and a famous rapper – it's a Christmas party these kids are sure to brag about when they head to school Thursday morning.
