Police ID Man Wanted In Key Biscayne Home Invasion

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Investigators have identified a man wanted in connection to a violent home invasion on Key Biscayne earlier this month.
Miami-Dade Police say they are looking for 23-year-old Vincent Todd Johnson Jr. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Officers have probable cause to arrest him on attempted murder, armed home invasion robbery with a firearm and occupied burglary with battery.
The early morning attack on December 2nd set off a manhunt among high-end homes and even forced schools to go on lockdown.
Police said a man broke into a multi-story home at 110 Woodcrest Lane to burglarize the house. A housekeeper caught him by surprise.
The man, police say, attacked her and tied her up before ransacking the home.
The housekeeper eventually broke free and ran to a neighbor's house for help. Within minutes, officers swarmed the area in search of the man.
Surveillance video caught the man in the home and helped officers in their search.
"It was something we never thought would happen here, so it was kind of a shock," said resident Katalina Bernal.
The incident has left Key Biscayne residents questioning their safety.
"This was supposed to be the safety neighborhood, a safety city," said concerned resident Jimena Mejia. "Now we don't know what happened."
The owner of the house is Aabad Melwani, a family man who is President of the Rickenbacker Marina.
Police say Johnson, the man wanted in the attack, drives a 2016 white Chevrolet Camaro with the Florida tag number GAR-E27.
