NEW YORK (CBSMiami) - Before President-elect Donald Trump resumed his "Thank You" tour with a rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Tuesday he called out Boeing over the cost of new Air Force Ones.

"I think Boeing is doing a little bit of a number. We want Boeing to make a lot of money but not that much money," said Trump exiting the elevators at Trump Tower in New York.

The Air Force awarded the contract to the U-S aerospace company in January, citing obsolete parts in the current fleet and increased down time. Two or more new planes would go into service around 2024. The original contract was for $3 billion but costs are reportedly rising. Asked for comment, Boeing's spokesman said "Were going to have to get back to you after we figure out whats going on."

Mr. Trumps comments on Tuesday continued his pattern of calling out U-S companies.

Over the weekend, he tweeted that companies that move operations out of the country will face a 35 percent tariff. But today on MSNBC's Morning Joe, Vice President-elect Mike Pence declined to endorse the plan.

"Let me go back to the intervening part," said Pence. "I'm for the U.S. putting everything on the table in negotiating."

Mr. Trump spent the morning in meetings as he works to fill jobs in his administration.

On Monday, the president-elect met with former Vice President Al Gore, a Democrat and leading voice in the fight against climate change. Gore spent about an hour and a half meeting with Ivanka Trump and her father. In the past, Mr. Trump has referred to climate change as a hoax.

"I had a lengthy and very productive session with the president-elect. It was a sincere search for areas of common ground," said Gore.

In 2012, the president-elect sent out a tweet that the concept of climate change was created by and for the Chinese.

Gore called his meeting with Mr. Trump an "intelligent exchange" and said Ivanka Trump was very concerned about the environment.

"It's no secret that Ivanka Trump is very committed to having a climate policy that makes sense for our country and our world," he said.
