MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The CBSMiami Facebook Shelter Pet of the Week has returned, just in case you were missing it for the past couple of months.

Every other week, we feature a special animal or two or three, looking for its fur-ever home at the new Miami-Dade Animal Services building in Doral.

CBS4's Bianca Peters introduced Dixie, Harry and Carmelo.

Dixie is a 2-year-old female chocolate lab mix who has been at the shelter for more than 100-days. There are 13 dogs at the shelter which have been at the shelter for more than 100 days and they are known as the 100 List. Dixie, who was brought in as a stray, wants to be taken off the 100 List. She is neutered and house broken. She is super sweet, calm, clean and gorgeous and she would make a great addition for any family, especially for the holidays. She is heartworm positive but treatment is provided to the adopter at no cost.

The other dog featured in this week's segment is Carmelo. He's a 7-year-old Shepherd Lab mix. He's very calm, housebroken and waiting for a forever home. The shelter offers a Senior Package which means they sometimes work with adopters and will waive the adoption fee because they want their senior dogs to find loving homes to live out the rest of their lives.

And then there was Harry because this shelter not only receives about 300 dogs every week but also up to 200 cats every week.

Harry is a beautiful male cat, about 4-to-5-months old. He's black and white and very loveable. He wouldn't stop giving Bianca little kitty kisses.  Harry is litter trained and is definitely a people person because he's very affectionate.

All the cats at the shelter come spayed or neutered, microchipped and already have their age-appropriate vaccines.

For those of you who can't adopt a cat or kitten but just want to cuddle with them, Miami-Dade Animal Services has a kitten cuddling program which allows people to volunteer their time to help with the cats and kittens and give them lots of tender loving care.

Miami-Dade Animal Services is located at 3599 NW 79 Ave. in Doral.
