Early Voting Underway In Florida

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- It's your moment to voice your opinion in this year's contentious election.

Early voting got underway Monday, October 24th in Florida - a major battleground state.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m to 7 p.m.

Before you head out to cast your ballot, make sure you know where to go. Click on the corresponding links to find early voting locations for: Miami-Dade County, Broward County and Monroe County.

Voters wanting to take advantage of early voting may do so until Sunday, November 6th in Miami-Dade and Broward counties and until Saturday, November 5th in Monroe County.

Voting can also be done through absentee ballots which will be mailed to your home. To do that, you must request a ballot by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2nd. To request an absentee ballot in Miami-Dade click here or here for Broward or here for Monroe counties.

As of Monday (10/24) morning, 1,204,582 Floridians had voted through absentee ballots. Of those, nearly 503,000 are Republican, more than 482,000 are Democrats, and nearly 188,000 had no party affiliation.
