MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A Fort Lauderdale man is accused of trying to have sex with a 9-year-old girl.

Joshua Asseraf, 22, reportedly responded to an ad on an online messaging board, using the name "Logan S." An undercover FBI agent posed as the father of a girl, posting online looking for people who want a child for sexual purposes.

In an affidavit, the undercover agent wrote he and Asseraf began texting each other.  The agent told Asseraf he had a 9-year-old daughter with whom he had sex with.  Asseraf then texted back, reportedly asking if he ever shared her.

The agent said that could happen and sent pictures to Asseraf which he claimed were of his daughter.

Over a period of five days Asseraf detailed to the undercover agent the sexual acts he'd like to perform with the girl.  He also told the agent that he had been with a 12-year-old before.  At one point the agent pretended to be the daughter while texting.  Asseraf texted the girl sexually explicit questions about what they could, and would, do together.

Asseraf also texted the undercover agent asking him to record the sexual encounter  and send him the video afterward so he could watch it.

The officer finally set up a meeting at a Sunrise hotel where he, his daughter and Asseraf would meet.

When Asseraf arrived law enforcement took him into custody.

The affidavit indicates Asseraf admitted he had been texting a man about having sex with his 9-year-old daughter. He also admitted to having sex with an 11 and 12-year old girl in the past. He was then arrested and put on a hold for the U.S. Marshals.
