MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minnesota judge overseeing Prince's estate has ordered genetic testing for a handful of people claiming to be heirs and tossed out claims from nearly 30 others.

Carver County Judge Kevin Eide on Friday ordered testing for four purported siblings or half-siblings — Tyka Nelson, Sharon Nelson, Norrine Nelson, and John Nelson — plus a supposed niece and grand-niece, Brianna Nelson and Victoria Nelson.

Prince died April 21 of a drug overdose. The process of resolving his estate has fallen to the courts because Prince had no known children and no known will.

The judge's order rules out several unidentified people who claimed Prince was their biological father. It also excludes people who claimed Prince's father was someone other than the man identified in court records.
