Miami Lands 4-Star Defensive End Deonte "DJ" Johnson

The University of Miami just made a big splash in recruiting.

6-foot-5, 240-pound defensive end Deonte "DJ" Johnson committed to the University of Miami Monday evening – joining the Hurricanes 2017 recruiting class.

Johnson, a four-star prospect out of Sacramento Luther Burbank High School, had 87 tackles, 14.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, three fumbles recovered, and three fumbles returned for touchdowns in 2015 season.

He made his commitment to the Canes over SEC superpower Alabama, Ole Miss and Michigan – amongst a litany of other offers.
