Coral Gables Man Impersonates Police During Robbery

CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) – Authorities in Coral Gables are searching for a man who impersonated a law enforcement officer.

Around 5 a.m. Sunday, the suspect approached a woman walking southbound on the 4000 block of Aurora Street.

He told her he was a cop and while patting her down, he exposed his genitals. He then threatened the woman that he had a gun and stole her property.

The crook took off on a longboard skateboard.

Authorities are searching for a white male, 25-35 years old, between 5'8" and 5'10", 175-190 pounds, muscular build, shoulder length brown hair, with brown eyes and a full beard.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, black crew neck t-shirt, camouflage cargo shorts and black sneakers, carrying a two-tone backpack.
