MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Surveillance cameras were rolling as an elderly woman, seen holding an umbrella and using her walker to get to her vehicle, was thrown to the ground and robbed.

The thief took off with Maria Viciedo purse and her walker just off SW 60th Ct. and 6th St. in Miami.

"He took my purse, my coin purse, my cell, my glasses, my sunglasses… everything," Viciedo said.

The 77 year old, who had hip surgery recently and struggles to walk, said she was on her way to the doctor Monday around noon. Braving the rain to get inside her vehicle, the man snuck up from behind.

"This man came from behind and said, 'I'm sorry ma'am.'  I thought, 'This man is here to help me,'" she explained.

But instead the man went for her purse, which was hanging off her walker.

"I held on the car. But he kept tugging until he tugged real hard and I lost my grip and I go thrown to the ground," she said.

The man is seen running off – not only with her purse, but with her walker.

He then gets inside a dark SUV and takes off.

A neighbor ran to help out Viciedo, still on the ground unable to move.

"I just saw her on the floor. She was bleeding. She had cuts on her arm and her hand," neighbor Marco Izquierdo said. "For him to push her and steal her walker, it's a terrible thing to do."

The suspect is being described as a slim-built white, possibly Hispanic man, around 20 to 30 years old and between 5'5" to 5'8" tall. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black jacket.

Police said he fled in a black SUV – possibly an Isuzu Ascender.
