FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- Ft. Lauderdale Police are hoping the community can help identify the man seen on video robbing a woman of her cash as she attempted to pay for her items.

It happened June 8th at the CVS at 3501 West Davie Blvd.

Video shows 80-year-old Juana Hamilton standing at the counter and as she's going through her purse, a man in a white hat and long dreads is seen standing a few feet behind her.

Suddenly, the guy snatches the woman's money and quickly runs out of the store.

"I feel terrible to know that somebody could take advantage of me like that," said Hamilton. "I will never walk into that store again."

Suffering from osteoporosis, Hamilton has difficulty walking. She said it happened so fast, she barely even got a look at him.

"Whatever he looked like, he just reached over and actually pulled my hand out of the socket. He just grabbed my hand, with my money, everything, and just took off," said Hamilton.

Hamilton, who lives alone in a Ft. Lauderdale apartment, suspects that the guy was watching her.

"He just grabbed the envelope and ran right through the door,"  she said.

The thief got away with $280 and Hamilton also believes he had an accomplice.

If you recognize the crook, call Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-8477 (TIPS). There's a cash reward for information leading to an arrest and as always, tipsters can remain anonymous.
