'Chewbacca Mom' Breaks Internet, Gets Gifted With More Star Wars Stuff

KASHYYYK (CBSMiami) -- It's hard to determine just what ingredients are needed to go viral these days but one thing that typically remains consistent between them -- they're accidental and happen just when you think no one is really watching.

When Dallas, Texas resident, and mother of two, Candace Payne, decided to share her joy about her growling Chewbacca mask to her friends on Facebook Live, she had no idea the video would take off at light speed.

Now, 113 million views later (and still counting), her infectiously joyful video showing off her Star Wars mask on Thursday has now become the most-watched Facebook Live video to date.

Candace bought the toy from the Kohl's department store and when the company found out, they decided to take advantage of the traction and brought some more gifts, including $2,500 in Kohl's gift cards.

Not only did the kids get their own masks, they also seemed even happier that dad would get his own, too -- one, big happy wookiee family.
