SCOUTING: Having watched this talented young man since he started as a freshman at Braddock, this is one of those impressive talents who has worked extremely hard to put himself in the position he will be in this fall with first-year head coach Jase Stewart's Firebirds. As he heads toward his final season, Alvarez is a quality talent who now has put everything together, giving this offense a huge lift. Whether it's his much-improved arm or being able to move the chains with his legs - you can definitely expect this offense to put up points and move the ball. He has already shown what he can do in spring practice and in the scrimmages a few weeks back at Tamiami Park. Keep in mind, Coach Stewart was calling the plays for one of the best to play the quarterback position in South Florida, Tyler Hunter, who is now a freshman at Utah.
