BROWARD (CBSMiami) – It was a movie-esque escape from Cuba as three men made it to South Florida by stowing away with equipment from a Hollywood blockbuster.

Part of the change in relations with Cuba means "Fast and Furious 8" is shooting in Cuba right now.

Movie producers are free to ship cargo back and forth – cameras, lights, trailers, dressing rooms, you name it.

What they didn't expect were three refugees to sneak in and make their journey to freedom.

The trio stashed in one of the movie production office trailers.

"There were at sea for three days. They came to the United States inside a trailer that was used as an office," a dock worker explained.

It was all quiet at Port Everglades as the ship was unloaded.

The three are now somewhere in South Florida, and what a story they have to tell.

Hollywood went to Havana and they got out of town real fast, but certainly no way furious.
