MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Publix shoppers beware! There's a fake Publix coupon circulating on Facebook.
It looks pretty real but it's absolutely not! The fraudulent coupon offers customers $75 off their purchase of $80 or more. That means if you spent $80 on groceries, it would only cost you $5.00.
The coupon supposedly honors the chains 89th Anniversary.
When Publix found out about the fraudulent coupon, the company immediately posted on its social media accounts to alert the public that it's not a valid offer and not to click on it or save it.
So remember, when something appears too good to be true, it usually is.
If you see this coupon online, report it to Publix and please share so others can be warned.
