Last week, the company issued a recall for fifteen types of their frozen vegetables.

State health officials discovered Listeria during routine testing in Ohio, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Listeria has been found to cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.  A Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

At last check, seven people from three states became ill and were hospitalized due to Listeria possibly linked to the products.

The recalled frozen vegetables which includes peas, corn, mixed vegetables, edamame, among others were distributed to retailers and distribution centers between September 13, 2015 and March 16.

Those who have any of the products are urged not to eat it and instead return it back to the store or throw it away.
