Julio Maceo grew up in Miami and at the age of 19, he decided to join the United States Army where he chose the position of Calvary Scout. As a result of his position, he was deployed to Iraq twice. While he was there, he used energy drinks like Red Bull, Monster and 5-Hour Energy, to stay alert.

Julio had been working at CBS Radio Miami for a little over 2 months when Nergia took over the WQAM street team as the WQAM Nergia Energy Team. He had now been introduced to this new energy drink and as a natural energy drink lover; he decided to try the Tropical flavor that left him satisfied.

After trying all four flavors of Nergia, including Tropical, Original Mocha, Tangerine, and Peach, Julio described exactly what he liked about the product in our interview below.

How long have you been drinking energy drinks?

"I have been drinking energy drinks for the past 11 years."

What was the first thing you noticed about Nergia?

"It's smooth, the flavors are really good, it's not too strong not too week it's just right. 30 seconds after I take it I can already feel it."

Do you have any crashes from it?

"No crashes what so ever."

What else do you like about the effect it has on you?

"I like the fact that its smooth, it'll keep me focused but not wired. Unlike other energy drinks if you drink too much you'll be wired and bouncing off the walls. This energy drink its hits you just right to were u have the energy and you are not feeling overwhelmed you are just focused on what you need to do and go on."

Would you consider yourself to be an avid 5-Hour Energy drinker before you discovered Nergia?

"Yes I was and not just the regular 5-hour Energy. I used to drink the Mega 5-Hour Energy."

What do you think is the main difference between Nergia and 5-Hour Energy?

"Ummm, the big difference between the two is the fact that with 5-Hour Energy you have to pace yourself when you're drinking it because it has a strong kick back to it. It [5-Hour Energy] kind-of tastes like medicine in a sense."

Overall, do you believe Nergia has a better taste than 5-Hour Energy?

"Yes I do think it tastes way better."

With that being said this natural-energy drink lover loves the natural taste of Nergia.
