MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A car riddled by bullets has become part of the crime scene after a night at a Miami club turns deadly.

Police said a gunman opened fire outside Club Extacy overnight, on N.W. 79th Street and 7th Avenue, killing one man and wounding another.

"He just said a fight broke out and he was just trying to get outta there, get out the way," said the wounded victim's sister.

Her brother survived being shot in the head and hand. A friend was able to quickly get him out of the club and drive him to the hospital.

"He carried my brother like a child, holding my brother close to him. And I really appreciate what he did," she said.

At Jackson Memorial Hospital, bullet holes were seen all along the car's exterior. Windows were shattered and blood spattered all over its white paint.

It has now become crime scene number two.

Police shut down the area on N.W. 79th Street where the shooting first took place. As Miami-Dade Police investigated the wild scene, shell casings and evidence markers littered the area.

"From what I heard, an altercation broke out in the club and it all spilled outside. And now you have two people shot. One guy dead, one guy wounded. At the end of the day a life was lost," said Pastor Eric Readon, who told CBS4's Donna Rapado that the victim's grieving family goes to his Miami Gardens church.

The wounded victim has been in and out of consciousness and hasn't talked much, his sister said, but he's hanging on.

"All I can say is my brother doing good. He's a strong man, we got a praying family. And God gonna see this through. If God wanted to take him, he would've been dead at the club. But he here and he good."
