MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Bumble Bee Foods is recalling their canned chunk light tuna over concerns of contamination.

The company issued the voluntary recall on Thursday due to what they said were sterilization issues at a facility not owned by the company that could cause the tuna to spoil - possibly causing life-threatening illnesses if eaten.

So far, there have been no reports of illnesses associated with the products that are being recalled.

A total of 31,579 cases included in the recall were produced in February 2016 and distributed nationally. Those included in the recall are their 4 Pack of 5oz Bumble Bee
Chunk Light Tuna in Water, 5oz Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna in Water and 5oz Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna in Oil.

The cans included in the recall had a code that starts with a "T."

Consumers are being asked to throw away their cans if they're included in the recall.
