MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A third arrest has been made in the shooting death of 6-year old King Carter but investigators are still looking for another person in the case.

Overnight, Tamar Teems turned himself in to police. He's been charged with attempted murder and second degree murder.  He appeared before a juvenile judge Friday. He'll be held in custody for the next three weeks as prosecutors decide if he will be charged as an adult.

Teems, 16, reportedly confessed to being in the car last Saturday when Irwen Pressley, 17, and Leonard Adams, 18, went to an apartment complex at 1205 NW 103rd Lane to settle an online feud with a person nicknamed "Ju Ju."

According to Pressley and Adams' arrest reports, they went to the apartment complex "with the sole purpose of finding 'Ju Ju' and killing him," according to their arrest reports.

After spotting their intended target in a stairwell, both Pressley and Adams reportedly got out of the car and began shooting at him.

"Ju Ju" fired back and hit Adams in the neck. Both Adams and Pressley then got back in their car and sped off.

Carter, who was walking through the parking lot on his way to a store to buy candy, was killed in the crossfire.

Teems said he went with Adams to Jackson Memorial North to get his neck wound treated.

Steven Jones said he saw King just moments after he was shot. He said he had just arrived at the apartment complex when he heard the gunfire.

"There was kids out here playing. We walked in the back. As soon as we walked in the back, not five minutes later we heard gunshots. They were real loud," said Jones. "These young boys just running out here. They're ruthless. They have no type of understanding. They have no knowledge of life. They're just living to kill."

Jones said no matter what started this deadly ordeal, the teens who are under arrest should have done things differently.

"Even though you turned yourself in, that was a cowardly act. Even though I'm against violence, if you knew who your man was, you should have just gotten out of your car and walked up on your man. You seen kids out here playing and you still shot. You a coward," said Jones.

Pressley and Adams were charged earlier this week with attempted first degree murder and second degree murder.

Police say they are still looking "Ju Ju" and for an early 2000 black Lexus with possible bullet holes in connection to the case.

Friends, family and members of the community gathered for a viewing for Carter at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Miami.

"Just heartbreaking. Stop the violence. These kids. So sad, so sad," said one attendee.

"King at his age had touched so many people and the outpouring from the community. Hearts were touched," said Rev. Gaston Smith.

His funeral will be on Saturday at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church on NW 135th Street at 2 p.m.
