Why MSC Divina Is The Best Ship To Cruise The Caribbean

After sailing much of the Mediterranean throughout the summer of 2015, MSC Divina is back in Miami and here to stay.

The 4,345-passenger ship, named in honor of Italian film actress Sophia Loren, initially sailed from the U.S. to the Caribbean from November to April before heading back to Europe. But that has now changed.

This stunning vessel is now set to sail year-round cruises from PortMiami with stops in some of the most desirable destinations in the Caribbean.

Swiss-based MSC Cruises, the world's largest privately-owned cruise line and market leader in Europe, South America and South Africa, made the decision to keep MSC Divina in North America year-round in order to give U.S. cruisers a better option for their Caribbean cruise vacation.

"We are committed to providing all of our guests with an authentic Caribbean cruise experience aboard the stunning MSC Divina. And to prove that our guests deserve the absolute best, we've made several onboard upgrades to better cater to North American cruisers," said Ken Muskat, the SVP of Sales for the company.

Some of the upgrades include the addition of more themed musical evenings and more exciting bands and entertainers.

Led by musically acclaimed Alan Lee, guests can expect to enjoy brand-new musical renderings performed by the Party Band in the Black and White Lounge and Pool Deck. Plus, the always spectacular, award-winning Broadway-style theatrical shows that MSC Cruises is so well known for will be even more incredible.

As the family-owned cruise company's commitment to encourage more family cruise vacations, children 12 years old and under can sail for free on select sailings.

"We believe in the fabric of family and the importance of creating real authentic family traditions and memories. With our kids sail free concept, we simply want to share the joy and wonder of cruising to the Caribbean with that of our guests and their families," Muskat concluded.

Guests have so many options to enjoy their onboard experience aboard MSC Divina while cruising to the Caribbean including a wide choice of restaurants specializing in cuisines from around the world, dedicated children's areas and kids clubs for all ages, a full gaming casino, a 4D Cinema, access to the only Balinese spa at sea, mini-bowling, a Formula 1 racing simulator and so much more.

Nestled in the fore of the ship lies a hidden oasis of luxury suites called the MSC Yacht Club which provides an escape for discerning guests. Special amenities include 24-Hour Butler & Concierge service, a private lounge, swimming pool, restaurant, sundeck and more.

Beyond the extraordinary amenities and features of MSC Divina, the ship is truly award-winning making it the perfect ship to sail to the Caribbean.

MSC Divina recently won Best Cruise Ship for Entertainment on the Top 10 Best Reader's Choice Awards by USA TODAY.

The Caribbean-bound ship also collected a Gold Travvy Award for Best Cruise Ship in the Large Ship category.

The cruise company alone has received over 15 Magellan Awards since 2009. Presented by a premier travel industry publication, the Magellan Awards is the leading awards program that recognizes the best in the travel industry.

"MSC Cruises is truly honored to be recognized by our travel industry colleagues. The Magellan Awards acknowledge our commitment to our guests, whether it is providing them the opportunity to cruise on ships with refined style, world-class entertainment and authentic Mediterranean hospitality or acknowledging their desire to visit amazing destinations around the world – especially throughout the Caribbean," said Richard E. Sasso, president and CEO of MSC Cruises (USA), Inc.

Itineraries include Caribbean cruises to La Romana, Dominican Republic; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Oranjestad, Aruba, Belize City, Belize; King's Wharf, Bermuda and so many more fascinating islands.

Caribbean sailings start from $399pp. To find more MSC Caribbean cruise deals, contact your travel agent, visit the MSC Cruises website or call 1-(844) 220-9878.
