WQAM midday host Orlando Alzugaray of the Big O Show is reporting live all week from the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. Here are his observations from Tuesday.
QB Carson Wentz - North Dakota State
Today in the North Practice Wentz didn't look out of place. The potential first day pick was sharp and accurate on most of his throws with no turnovers.
QB Kevin Hogan Stanford
On the flip side Stanford's Kevin Hogan was not impressive, he was inaccurate and showed a slow and deliberate delivery. Now it was the first day of practice, maybe his timing and accuracy will improve as the week goes on, but today was not his best performance.
WR Jordan Payton UCLA
Today the 6'1 212 was terrific running solid routes while showing great hands including a leaping catch along the sideline. Jordan showed toughness fighting off the press coverage to get open for several short and intermediate routes.
WR Braxton Miller Ohio State
The former QB ran solid routes, caught the ball very well and showed his versatility by catching punts. While he's not considered an elite prospect I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a shot as a project late in the draft.
