HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) -- A contractor facing a sinking situation along the intracoastal in Hollywood has forced the temporary closure of the Hollywood Marina.
A barge anchored offshore began to sink Wednesday morning, near North Lake Drive and 8th Avenue.
Officials said it began taking on water due to a breach at the bottom, causing it to start sinking.
The Coast Guard inspected the scene and said there had not been any environmental damage.
Pumps have been brought out to begin pumping the water out.
No one was hurt but the marina has been shut down until further notice.
