GoGo SqueeZ Recalls Applesauce Pouches Over Mold Concerns

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- GoGo SqueeZ is voluntarily recalling apple sauce after mold was found in some of its products.

It has the 'best by' dates between June 20th 2016 and July 26th. The code is on the bottom of the pouch or box, near the UPC code.

The company said an issue in their recent production led to the development of common mold "like what can form on fruit" in a small number of pouches. The company said, however, it was able to catch most of the affected products before they made it to stores.

GoGo SqueeZ says it poses no health risk but admits it could look and taste unpleasant.

Consumers with affected product are asked to notify the company and request a replacement voucher. You can do this online or by calling 1-844-275-5841.
