TAMPA (CBSMiami/AP) - For a second time this week, a University of South Florida football player is accused of firing a gun on campus.

Junior cornerback Lamar Robbins was arrested Thursday afternoon. He remained in the Hillsborough County Jail early Friday with an $8,000 bond.

Early Sunday, freshman reserve offensive lineman Benjamin Knox was arrested after officers say he fired a gun at a dorm. The USF athletic department suspended Knox from team activities. They have not made an announcement on Robbins' status.

Robbins is charged with discharging a weapon on campus, a second-degree felony, and giving false information to a law enforcement officer.
