FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- Passengers preparing to board a JetBlue flight at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport were evacuated from the terminal Saturday afternoon.
Broward Aviation Department spokesman Greg Meyer said a contractor for the airline accidentally hit the fire suspension system at around 3 p.m. causing the sprinkler system to go off.
Passengers were seen standing on the tarmac as crews worked to resolve the situation.
