Coral Springs Concert Ends With Students Being Treated

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A concert at a Coral Springs high school ended with more than a dozen students being treated on Thursday.

It all happened at Coral Springs High School located at 7201 W Sample Road. The event was part of a group called High School Nation, a travelling music and arts festival

Apparently, during the afternoon concert, several students became overcome even though the Broward school district said there was shade and water available

According to Coral Springs Fire Rescue Chief MikeMoser 14 students were treated for heat exhaustion and dehydration. Three of those were taken to area hospitals.

"They just fainted because it was too hot," said concertgoer Irllangey Gelin.

Chopper4 was over the scene where at least four fire rescue trucks were seen stopped near large white tents.

Instagram performer Heather Russell and singer/actor Drake Bell were performing at the event.
