Gridiron Grill-Off Gives Back To The South Florida Community
John Offerdahl's Broward Health® Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival was founded in 2010 by former Miami Dolphins All-Pro linebacker John Offerdahl to combine his three passions: football, food and philanthropy.
Now in its sixth year, the ultimate culinary showdown for charity has become a South Florida tradition and has raised thousands of dollars to help Feed the Needs of Kids in Crisis.
100% of event net proceeds will benefit Offerdahl's Hand-Off Foundation, which has greatly impacted various charitable organizations, such as 4KIDS of South Florida, HOPE South Florida, Here's Help, Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association Educational Foundation, Miami Dolphins Foundation and Taste of the NFL.
Each charity touches a different aspect of the lives of children facing difficult situations. 4KIDS of South Florida finds homes for adoptable children and HOPE South Florida provides services to those suffering from homelessness. Here's Help serves the community by hosting residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment programs. Through donations from the Grill-Off, Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Foundation is able to offer higher education scholarships and job training programs. The Miami Dolphins Foundation supports educational efforts in South Florida communities and the Taste of the NFL works to end hunger across the nation.
By attending the sixth annual John Offerdahl's Broward Health® Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival featuring celebrity guest Adam Richman, on Sat., Nov. 14, guests will be supporting these great causes while enjoying mouthwatering grilled dishes prepared by 25 top South Florida chefs and renowned Miami Dolphins Legends.
The Gridiron Grill-Off will take place at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater, 1806 NE 6 Street. The $85 Grand Grill-Off ticket will give attendees, 21 and older, the opportunity to sample the delicious dishes from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The $125 VIP ticket package will include a signed copy of Richman's cookbook Straight Up Tasty, as well as early access into the Grand Grill-Off starting at noon.
