FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- Broward Sheriff's deputies released a sketch of a man they said was involved in a violent home invasion in West Park.

The same day, one of the victims spoke out about the men who terrorized her and her family in their home.

The man in the sketch is just one of three to four accomplices, who broke into the home around 8 p.m. on August 12th.

Deputies said the armed men restrained the woman and her five children while they ransacked the home.

"He pushed me and all my kids in a room, laid us on the bed face down and tied us up. He kept asking for a safe so I'm like 'there is no safe here.' He asked us for money. I was like, ' we have no money' and he asked us for drugs. I was like 'I don't deal drugs,'" said the victim who will remain unidentified.

According the victim, they wanted a whole lot more.

"We know that at least two of them were armed. They were searching for something inside the property," said Keyla Concepcion with BSO.

At one point, they  even threatened to burn her 7- year old son with a hot iron.

"He said he was going to torture him and burn him with an iron... I begged him. I'm like 'please don't burn my son. I don't know nothing about a safe,'" said the victim.

During the robbery, the victim's husband  arrived home and he too was tied up.

"I could only imagine that the children must have been terrified to see these men committing  such an act in front of them so violently inside the home," said Concepcion.

The bandits got away with a cell phone and used a getaway car described as an older model, dark blue, four-door Lexus.

Investigators later found out one of the robbers sexually assaulted one of the victims.

While the victims were told to keep their heads down during the robbery, one of the children helped detectives with a sketch.

"When everything was over, I asked my son ' what happened? What did they do to him?' He said they put the gun to the top of his head and was asking him where the safe was," said the victim who believes the robbers went into the wrong home.

The assailant which was sketched out is described as a black male with dreads, who is in his mid-20s to early 30s, is about 5'10" tall, of medium build and has a tattoo on his upper arm.

Anyone who recognizes the person in the sketch is urged to call  Broward County Crimestoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
