Restaurant To Throw Block Party For Dolphins Season Opener

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Football season is quickly approaching and fans in South Florida are gearing up for a big season from the Miami Dolphins.
One of the biggest hot spots to watch the Dolphins season opener against the Washington Redskins on Sunday, September 13th is Himmarshee Public House in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
The restaurant will shut down SW 2nd Avenue for a rockin' block party that will include a DJ, a giant 16-foot LED TV high up in the air for all to see, and plenty of food and drinks.
During the party fans will be able to sit inside the restaurant and order from the regular brunch menu or if they want to be outside there will be a special street BBQ catered by the chefs of Himmarshee Public House.
The party is free to attend and guests can enjoy beer tastings from local breweries, tailgate-style games and giveaway drawings for special prizes.
The fun will begin at 10 a.m. with the Dolphins game set to kick off at 1 p.m.
