Tannehill: 'I Feel Safe' Behind Interior O-Line

All the talk around Miami Dolphins Training Camp starts up front, where offensive guards Dallas Thomas (sat out practice today with a shoulder injury), Jamil Douglas, Billy Turner and now Jeff Linkenbach are competing for two starting spots.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill -- who hasn't missed a start in his 48-game career -- doesn't fear for his physical well being from pressure up the middle. At least not yet -- or not publicly.

"Yeah I feel safe," Tannehill said after practice Wednesday. "You know they're competing. I'm not sure who's gonna end up being in [those spots] but those guys are competing and they're facing one of the best -- if not the best -- [defensive] tackle in the league so it's not always gonna be pretty no matter who's up there. You could have an All-Pro guy up there going against Suh and it's gonna be a battle. I don't expect those guys to be able to lock Suh down each and every play but they're getting better and that's what you want to see."

The question is whether the Dolphins are looking -- or will be looking -- to add veteran help on the interior with heightened expectations this season.
