Observations From Day 4 Of Dolphins Training Camp

DAVIE (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins took the field for the fourth consecutive day as the team continues to work its way into their 2015 training camp.
There have been several things for fans to be excited about thus far, both on offense and defense.
Here are some observations from Sunday's training camp practice.
-The Dolphins spent a majority of Sunday working on their play in the redzone, an area in which they struggled last year. Today looked very promising as the Dolphins finally have some legitimate threats.
-The one-two punch of Jordan Cameron and Dion Sims at the tight-end spot proved to be lethal on Sunday morning as the two combined for multiple touchdown grabs. Joe Philbin has always wanted to have a tight-end friendly offense and with these two playing the way they are that may very well be possible this season.
-Jarvis Landry is turning into a major playmaker. Landry dazzled last season but that may have only be the beginning of what he is capable of doing. It seems obvious now that him and Ryan Tannehill have a great connection and that Landry will most likely lead this team in all receiving categories. Landry made multiple touchdown grabs today including a sensational one-handed grab over the middle of the field.
-Ryan Tannehill looks improved when the defense isn't in his face. The Dolphins offensive line is a question mark and it doesn't help that they are going up against what may be the best defensive line in the NFL. If Tannehill is given enough time there is no question that he has some very talented weapons to distribute the ball to.
-Bottom line the team just looks better. From watching the practices and speaking to people around the team there is simply no question that this team is farther along at this point than any of Joe Philbin's other teams have been. If injuries don't decimate this roster than there is no reason that this shouldn't be a playoff team.
