OVERTOWN (CBSMiami) – Minister Louis Farrakhan spoke to a large crowd at a church in Overtown Thursday night as part of his national tour.

During his speech at mount Zion Baptist Church, Farrakhan addressed recent police shootings of black men.

The national tour is promoting the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. A rally will be held in Washington D.C. in October.

Thursday also marked the start of the 2015 National Urban League Conference in Fort Lauderdale.

Much of the conference's discussions focused on growing racial tensions across America and what's being done about it.

Five presidential candidates are expected to speak at the conference on Friday. They are: Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton, Benjamin Carson, Martin O'Malley and Bernie Sanders.
