MIAMI (CBSMiami) – CBS4's newsroom got a surprising visit from some furry friends from Jungle Island.

They stopped by with two adorable furry animals Artemis the 14-week old lemur and Ruby the 2-month old red kangaroo.

Needless to say, everything in the newsroom came to a halt when they walked in, grabbing all the attention.

The furry friends posed for pictures and also shined some light on National Zookeeper Week and the important role they play in animals' lives.

"It's not only feeding or cleaning up after them we give them enrichment. The kind of thing that will help stimulate or create anything that they would get in the wild that they wouldn't necessarily get in captivity," said Jungle Island Zoo Keeper Stephanie Kocijancic.

Ruby will be in the pouch for a few more weeks, according to Kocijancic.

The public can see Ruby the baby Kangaroo and park guests can see the lemurs in their nursery.
