MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Singer Michael Bublé is getting some major backlash over a picture he posted on social media while on vacation in Miami.

Bublé is being accused of 'body shaming' a woman he is seen standing next to in the picture in which the woman is wearing shorts with her back to him. He is seen standing next to her with his arms crossed.

As a caption under the photo, the singer wrote "There was something about this photo lu took ,that seemed worthy of instagram.#‎myhumps‬ ‪#‎babygotback‬ ‪#‎hungryshorts‬ ‪#‎onlyinmiami‬ ‪#‎picoftheday‬‪#‎beautifulbum‬"

The picture got backlash from some of his fans.

One user posted, "Unfollowing. Who are you to take pictures of a woman's "hungry shorts" and post in on social media without her knowledge? Also the number of "she was asking for it" comments - is revolting. A woman never ASKS to be objectified/assaulted/raped/discussed on the internet without her knowledge, regardless of what she is wearing."

Another posted, "Not cool. This is mean and degrading; even if you meant it as a compliment, I really wouldn't want to be put in her place right now. I'd also like to point out that those who have commented with victim-blaming statements (if she didn't want people to notice, she shouldn't have dressed like that!) are men. Stuff like this really shouldn't be posted, especially by someone with a fan base."

In another post, a fan said, "This is actually quite offensive. Whilst you're complimentary about this woman you're also targetting her sexually without her consent (I assume you didn't ask her to be the "butt" of your joke)."

At the same time, some fans came out and posted in his defense.

One fan posted, "Seriously tho??? Some of you must've NEVER seen Michael Buble in concert or otherwise. He is a jokester a real person who curses and acts and thinks like the rest of us. He is human too."

Another posted, "Post away! Very funny some of these people on here have no sense of humor. If it's on display then it's free game."

In another post, a fan said, "Quite a few of you do not get the canadian sense of humor ! I thought it was funny regardless . #ISTANDWITHMICHAELBUBLEONTHIS."

The singer has not commented on the matter.
