MIAMI (CBSMiami) --  Miami Police and the community came together, searching for information on the recent killings of a child and a teen in Miami this week.

Miami Police officers along with concerned members gathered at La Milagrosa  Friday evening.

Together, they walked block by block and went door to door passing out flyers in an effort to get information on the deaths of 10-year old Marlon Eason and 16-year old Richard Hallman.

In a photo tweeted out by the department, Miami Police Chief Rodolfo "Rudy" Llanes, is seen hugging an unidentified member of the community during the walk alongside Miami-Dade County Public Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho.

The walk happened on the same day the department said they believed security footage from Jackson Memorial Hospital's surveillance cameras could hold the key to finding Hallman's killers.

Richard Hallman was shot in Allapatah on Tuesday at around 6 p.m. Minutes later two men, one in white and another in a black hoodie, were captured on camera dragging Hallman into the hospital.

A couple of hours later, shots rang out in nearby Overtown. Shots that killed 10-year old Eason.  He was hit in the head while playing basketball.

Miami Police maintain that despite the proximity and timing the two shootings are not connected.

A $3,000 reward is being offered to anyone who gives information that leads to an arrest in the cases.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-271-TIPS.
