JACKSONVILLE (CBSMiami/AP) — Four people died in a fiery highway crash in Jacksonville on Monday.

A Florida Highway Patrol spokesman say the crash occurred in the afternoon on the Buckman Bridge segment of Interstate 275 when a tractor trailer hit an SUV from behind, killing two adults and two children inside.

FHP says another, smaller SUV was also damaged after the initial crash, injuring three more people inside. There was one driver in the tractor trailer, who survived the crash.

Traffic cameras showed that authorities had completely closed the southbound side of bridge to traffic following the crash.

Photos from the scene showed a large plume of black smoke coming from the bridge.

The names of the victims weren't immediately released.
