MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – A woman who said a man used his smartphone to record video under her skirt at a Whole Foods Market in Miami Beach is speaking about the incident.

Sarah Jeanne Lemay, visiting from Canada, told CBS4's Gaby Fleischman that she was shopping at the Whole Foods on Alton Road in Miami Beach when she noticed another shopper getting too close for comfort.

"The guy is literally following me very close and at first I think maybe he thinks I'm cute because he was getting into my personal space," Lemay said. She called the alleged voyeur "shady" and "perverted."

Filippo Fiorentini, a 28-year-old from Italy, was using a shopping basket at Whole Foods to record under the victim's skirt, according to Miami Beach Police Department.

Fiorentini, police said, had turned on his cell phone video recorder and put it into a shopping basket in an attempt to get video under the victim's skirt.

"The guy is just coming at me and putting the basket on the floor to my feet," said Lemay.

It wasn't until Lemay was at the register that she noticed the phone and alerted an officer who arrested Fiorentini.

"I think it's just completely wrong and I think it's disgusting," said Lemay.

Police say the man admitted "that he made a mistake" and he "acknowledged that he did record under the victim's skirt."

Fiorentini was charged with video voyeurism and was released on $5,000 bond.

Lemay said at first she didn't intend for Fiorentini to get arrested she just wanted the video to be deleted.

"You don't know if this guy can do it again or do it to many girls or if he could be doing things even worse. So I think it's probably for the best, I mean, perverts shouldn't be out on the street," Lemay said.
