Hundreds Gather For Rally In Support After Paris Terrorist Attack

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) --Hundreds of people gathered in South Beach for a rally of support after the terrorist attack in France on Wednesday.
People held signs of support high as they held a moment of silent pray for the the 10 journalists and two police officers killed.
"We feel very French tonight," said Justine Markey.
Although they are mourning, they refuse to have the right of free speech muffled by the senseless acts of terrorists.
"Talking is free, you can tell, you can say what you want with no terror, with no fears and now there are fears everywhere," said Sarah Elbaz.

"I think it also says a lot about the power of the press," said Laura Ducos, who's father is a journalist in France. Ducos said "Terrorists are so afraid of what journalists can say and what they can raise as issues that they feel they have to attack and I think it shows not strength but weakness."
On Wednesday afternoon, French citizens arriving in Miami were in flight when the attacks happened and family members had to give the devastating news once they landed.

Antoine Forrest said the attack will change France forever.
"Its the 9-11 of France. There is going to be a before January 7th and after January 7th in France for sure," said Forrest.
Those who gathered on South Beach hope the French people will not live in fear.
"We don't need to be afraid. We need to be strong. We need to be there and we need to fight that horrible thing," said Elbaz.
