MDPD Officers Distribute Gift Cards To Families

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami-Dade Police Department received an anonymous donation that helped provide holiday cheer to members of the community in need.
According to the department, the money was distributed in $100 gift cards.
The donor asked that officers randomly distribute the gift cards to residents.
"This is the most gratifying thing I have ever done in my career", said one officer from the Intracoastal District.
The holiday event is countywide, gifts cards were distributed evenly to all district police stations.
The department will continue distributing the cards until they are all given to people in need.
